The Adaptive Skills Program
The Adaptive Skills Program provides a therapeutic and structured environment in a mainstream community based setting. Individuals can develop a wide range of skills and participate in appropriate activities. Group and individual supports are available to meet a wide range of participant need and risk levels.
Vocational Placement and Monitoring
Vocational Placement focuses on the development of skills required for employment. Consultant-supervised steps include: resume development, vocational interest inventory, placement in volunteer positions, assessment and development of skills observed during that placement, strategic job search, interview process support, job monitoring through direct communication between the employer and OFI.
Drop-In Component
OFI operates an informal mode of service that provides a safe and supportive alternative to activities and environments in which some of our participants currently engage. The model provides individuals with access to a food bank, clothes depot, breakfast and lunch, on-site and off-site recreational, educational and leisure activities, peer interaction, referral and advocacy to other services, along with assisted problem solving and supportive counseling.
